They finished the “rough-in” for the electric. The electrical inspector told us that we need to put poles outside to protect the electrical meter. I had a little laugh at the signs the electrician left saying “Dear Mr. Electrical Inspector…”
My uncle, Robert Schmidt, brought me a new-to-me lawn tractor that makes mowing SO much easier! I don’t know what I was thinking trying to mow that lawn with a push mower! Â
He made us new tops for our desks too! Ms. Voit, my uncle, and I spent Tuesday sanding and staining the new desks. They still need a few coats of polyurethane, but they look great! Â
We had a bit of a drainage issue in the rear of the building. We moved a lot of dirt around! We also removed the old ugly parking signs.
Tristate Brickface and Stucco began work on the stucco. The process will take two weeks as they’ll need to wait for the first two coats to cure before applying the final color coat. It was quite fun watching them work. They quickly assembled the scaffold, tore down the old ugly wood siding, replaced some of the old plywood, put up the weather barrier and mesh. The weather took a turn for the worse, putting an end to their work for the day.
The electrical inspector asked us to put up two poles to protect the main panel and meter. After installing the two poles, the inspector asked us to move one of them one-foot over. So, we did. We were also told to change two of the screws holding the main panel to the wall.
Federal Security systems installed the wiring for our security and fire systems. This is the last piece of the puzzle. After this is inspected, we can close up the walls! Â
On Wednesday, we got keys!! Â
On Friday, February 28th, Tri-State Brickface and Stucco returned to our site. They began work at around 8 AM, and they were finished by 12:30 PM. The brickface is now complete. They’ll do the flat stucco next week! It was quite impressive to watch! Â
